Domestic Property: Stairway to Heaven
In late 2021, we were lucky enough to work with the lovely Jana, from Woodbridge, who wanted contemporary, practical but stylish flooring for her three-floor townhouse in Melton, Woodbridge.
European Chic
Inspired by her European roots, Jana, who was born in the Czech Republic, wanted a light timber style flooring for her three-floor new build home. As a keen entertainer, Jana was looking for the ‘wow’ factor, wanting to impress her guests whilst enjoying a durable and easy-to-clean solution.
Safe and Stylish
We were delighted to be able to provide Jana with a solution that meant her staircases matched and flowed with the flooring in the rest of her home. After being previously advised elsewhere that smooth flooring was not a viable solution for her stairs, Jana came to our team, who found a solution that overcame the challenges of potential slip risks and difficulties associated with the nosings.
Louis, in the showroom, suggested Karndean vinyl plank, as this met the style, durability and safety aspects required for both the staircases and the rest of the home. To add even more style to her stairs, the ‘Bendy Bull’ chrome stair nosing trim was recommended, to create a practical, safe solution whilst thoroughly impressing her guests.
Jana’s townhouse flooring was expertly fitted in just one week, by Daniel and Scott, who delighted in the opportunity to overcome the staircase challenge. The floors were fitted to 6mm plywood and Mapei Renovation screed subfloor preparation, to create a truly flawless solution.
